Hans and Sigrid Geissler, Morning Star Fishermen’s founders attended River of Life’s International Missions Conference held annually just outside of Nashville. It was a time of reconnection for the founders of MSF and missionaries from around the world. Sigrid Geissler, co-founder of MSF said of the experience, “The River of Life Church gave us such an excitement in our spirits that words cannot express how touched we are. For us, the weekend was very special and memorable. It was a time of loving, caring, and sharing. I am happy that River of Life has joined with us as fishermen. We are all fishermen in the body of Christ.”
It is the mission of MSF to not only give a man a fish but teach a man how to raise fish and grow vegetables. The MSF founder Hans Geissler said “As we left the city of music we were inspired to continue our work as fishermen in the body of Christ. We believe that aquaponics is the future for feeding the world. By teaching and training people from around the world aquaponics this enables sustainable life and an over-all better lifestyle to those who are not as fortunate as we are here in the States. If you ask me aquaponics makes sense. Seventy percent of the face of the Earth is water so aquaponics in my opinion is the way to win the race against world hunger”.
