It is the mission of Morning Star Fishermen to teach people how to provide for themselves in a sustainable and environmentally responsible manner through aquaponics. Rather than relying on hand-outs which only feed them for one day and makes them dependent upon the donor, people will learn to provide for  themselves and their loved ones in a sustainable and inexpensive way, adding dignity and independence to their lives.

To teach rural residents techniques on how to grow their own foods and improve their protein intake diet.

To provide agriculture producers training on alternative and innovative food production techniques, which are environmentally friendly, natural and highly efficient.

Morning Star Fishermen-Nicaragua Training center is located in the Province of Carazo, in the community of “Buena Vista Del Sur”, Kilometer marker 55 ½, of the road from Diriamba to Boquita and Casares. The nearest towns to the training center are Diriamba and Jinotepe in the South Western region of Nicaragua.
